Our mission in service of the Muslim community of the Bas-Saint-Laurent
Provide a setting for Islamic spiritual and socio-cultural life, in harmony with Québec society.
Help newly arrived Muslim immigrants integrate into Québec society.
Foster and promote the social and economic engagement of Muslims in the region.
Build close ties with organizations in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region.
Give our fellow citizens the opportunity to learn about Muslim culture and promote living together.
Provide travelling Muslims passing through La Pocatière with a place for prayer.

A complete Islamic centre, right off Highway 20
Faced with our community’s rapid growth, we want to acquire land and build a complete centre — for our community, and for every Muslim traveller passing through.
The land, as it stands today

Highway 20 is Quebec’s main east-west corridor. Every Muslim family travelling to or from the Atlantic provinces passes through here — and there is currently no place to pray for hundreds of kilometres.
Rivière-du-Loup, the Gaspé Peninsula, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island.
The Maritimes towards Quebec City and Montreal.
Visitors from Western Canada and the United States exploring the Kamouraska region will finally have a place for prayer, too — thousands of people every year.
Already accomplished$720 — Moisson Kamouraska (food bank) · $3,000 — a local school for a sensory room for children with autism · $1,000 — a daycare for playground improvements · $2,800 — community members in need
We’ve also taken part in the Peace March, International Women’s Rights Day, and a memorial march for femicide victims in Kamouraska — because a community doesn’t live in isolation.

Quran teaching for children and adults.
For community and cultural activities.
4 apartments for rent for visitors and travelling families.
A welcoming outdoor space for families during the warm season.
A gathering place offering halal meals to the community.
The existing guest house, campground and restaurant will generate revenue from day one — a financially viable project that doesn’t depend on public funding.
